Task 1: 새해 덕담1
Watch a promotional video in which the cast of the film Happy New Year shares New Year’s wishes for each other (00:20–1:35 only). Answer the following questions in English.

In South Korea, dragon-themed decorations and merchandise have been popular in 2024, as it marks the Year of the Dragon in the traditional Asian zodiac cycle, which includes 12 animals. Specifically, 2024 is the Year of the Blue Dragon, a combination that occurs once every 60 years due to the integration of the five elements—water, metal, wood, earth, and fire—with the zodiac. The zodiac system, rooted in Chinese history, has been deeply integrated into Korean cultural practices for centuries. Although belief in the zodiac’s influence on personality and fate is less widespread today, many Koreans still visit fortunetellers or check newspaper fortune-telling sections to see what the new year might hold based on zodiac interpretations. Task 3. 새해 인사
You have become a popular celebrity in Korea. Create a New Year’s greeting video for your Korean fans. Share your accomplishments from the past year, as well as your New Year’s resolutions and wishes for your fans. Adhere to the following guidelines:
- Include at least seven meaningful sentences.
- Use the following grammar forms at least once: V–게 되다, V–는 동안, and V–기(를) 바라다.
- Use both formal and informal polite speech styles.
