By the end of this lesson, you’ll be able to:

  • Interpretive Communication: Draw a picture according to the oral description of a family picture
  • Interpersonal and Presentational Communication: Talk about a person one admires, using appropriate honorific expressions

Task 1: 가족 사진 그리기

Listen to the narration that 수지 is describing his family picture. Draw the picture based on her descriptions.

Task 2: 내가 존경하는 분을 소개해요.

Meet with your partner(s) over zoom, and video-record your best performance. 

1. Before you meet with your partner, think of one person you personally know and admire (someone who is older than you), and prepare a picture of that person engaging in a certain activity.

2. Introduce that person to your partner, and describe what s/he is doing in the picture.

3. Your partner should ask you at least two follow-up questions.

4. When you introduce the person, you may talk about the following:

  • Name
  • Age
  • Relationship with you
  • Where s/he lives
  • Occupation
  • Hobbies
  • What you admire about him/her
  • . . .
