By the end of this lesson, you’ll be able to:

  • Interpretive Communication: understand a short description looking for a roommate.
  • Interpersonal Communcation: introduce yourself to the person looking for a roommate and answer some questions.
  • Presentational Communication: ask and answer about one’e best friend.

Task 1. 룸메이트

Naomi is looking for a roommate. Read the following post and send an audio message to introduce yourself. Include your answers to Naomi’s questions.

안녕하세요.

제 이름은 나오미예요. 대학생이에요.

*지금 룸메이트가 없어요. *그래서 룸메이트를 찾고 있어요.

저는 한국 사람이 아니에요. 일본 사람이에요.

저는 한국 좋아해요. 한국 친구가 있어요.

어느 나라 사람이에요? 대학생이에요? 뭐 좋아해요?

전화 번호가 뭐예요?

*말해 주세요. 제 전화번호는 215-985-7645예요.

고맙습니다!

*지금 now

*그래서 Therefore

*찾고 있어요 looking for

*그런데 However

*그리고 Also, And

*말해 주세요 Please tell me.

Task 2. 파트너의 친구

Interview each other to get to know about your partner’s best friend. One person will be an interviewer, and the other will be an interviewee. When done, change the role.

Interviewer: ask questions about 이름, 어느 나라 사람, 생일, 전화번호, 학년, etc.

Interviewee: answer the questions using ‘the possessive marker -의’ and ‘-이/가 아니에요’ at least once.
